WASHINGTON (February 2023) – The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) is attending the 2023 World Ag Expo to discuss propane’s important role in the nationwide movement toward cleaner energy solutions.

PERC invites attendees to stop by the Western Propane Gas Association (WPGA) booth — located at West Street lots 20 and 22 — to learn about the many cost, efficiency, and environmental benefits of new propane equipment. At this year’s booth, visitors will have the opportunity to view a variety of propane-powered equipment, as well as visit with propane suppliers and equipment dealers.

“While propane has long been known as an effective and reliable fuel for operations, producers may be surprised to learn of its ability to work in tandem with other clean energy sources to further reduce emissions,” said Mike Newland, director of agriculture business development at PERC. “Propane is an approved alternative fuel under the Clean Air Act, meets Tier 4 Standards and EPA regulations, and is an excellent energy source for producers looking to achieve environmental benefits without sacrificing power and productivity.”

Propane-powered equipment delivers the precise temperatures and consistent power necessary to keep operations running smoothly, anytime and anywhere. Propane equipment is also extremely versatile, including but not limited to:

  • Irrigation engines
  • Grain dryers
  • Generators
  • Flame weeding systems
  • Water and building heating
  • Forklifts
