The PROPANE EDUCATION & RESEARCH COUNCIL (PERC) has an amazing opportunity for a Corporate Communications Manager. The first energy council of its kind, PERC, a non-profit, works with retailers, consumers, and partner industries to drive technology development in order to expand adoption of propane as a clean, domestic, and affordable energy source. This remote position reports to the Vice President of Communications and Marketing and is classified as exempt. The preferred location is Richmond, VA, but would consider remote for the right candidate.

Job Summary:

The Corporate Communications manager is responsible for producing content for propane.com, writing and producing market newsletters, PERC’s annual report, and provides communications support to PERC’s Safety, Business Development, and Industry Relations teams. The role ensures that industry concerns are considered when developing content, that safety requirements are observed in all content development, and that all materials adhere to brand standards and style guide.  The manager works closely with the Content Development Manager to ensure content is regularly refreshed within propane.com and across PERC’s communications platforms. Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Requirements:

  • 5+ years of business writing experience
  • Proficiency with project management platforms, preferably Asana
  • Working knowledge of WordPress
  • Proficiency with a CRM, preferably HubSpot
  • Experience in digital development, and SEO
  • Proficiency with a digital asset management platform, preferably Cloudinary
  • Remains current on industry news and trends
