Drive Savings for Your Fleet, and Receive Up to $47,500
Qualified fleets can receive $7,500 for up to five eligible propane autogas vehicles, plus up to $10,000 for refueling site prep. In return, put the vehicles into regular operation and share performance data quarterly for one year.
Turn Propane Autogas Into a Competitive Advantage
Propane autogas offers fleets a practical way to control fuel costs, simplify vehicle maintenance, and support reliable day-to-day operations. For fleets ready to put propane autogas to work, the Propane Autogas Research Program can help offset the upfront investment.
Qualified commercial fleets can add eligible Class 2-7 propane autogas vehicles to their operations. Then, it’s business as usual: keep the vehicles in service and report fuel use, maintenance costs, downtime, and reliability quarterly for one year.

Which vehicles qualify?

New propane autogas vehicles and conversions of eligible gasoline vehicles qualify. For conversions, vehicles must be two model years old or newer with fewer than 50,000 miles; program rules apply. Class 2–7 vehicles are eligible, with priority given to Class 3–7 vehicles. Existing propane autogas vehicles are not eligible for replacement through the program.

How much can my fleet receive?

$7,500 per eligible vehicle, for up to five vehicles, plus up to $10,000 for fueling-site preparation when fueling infrastructure does not already exist. For a qualifying fleet with one site, that’s up to $47,500.

Once a quarter for one year, report the following for each funded vehicle:
- Miles traveled

We already run propane autogas. Can we apply?
-
Yes. Fleets already using propane autogas can apply when adding eligible vehicles. Replacing an existing propane autogas vehicle does not qualify. Additional program requirements apply.
-
Should I purchase a new vehicle before I apply?
-
No. If you’re purchasing a new propane autogas vehicle, apply before you buy. Once approved, you must order the vehicle within 30 days and put it into operation within 30 days of delivery.

I already have an eligible vehicle, can I convert it to propane autogas?
-
Yes. Eligible gasoline vehicles that are two model years old or newer and have fewer than 50,000 miles may be converted to propane autogas using an approved Alliance AutoGas propane autogas system. Important: You must apply and receive approval before beginning the conversion.
