National Truck Dealer Boosts 2023 Order for Propane Autogas Units for Postal Contractors
I hear that one of the national dealers that supplies propane trucks to postal contractors is so optimistic about the potential for autogas postal vehicles that he wants to bump his normal order of 50 units to 300 for 2023.
That’s great news for this burgeoning segment of medium- and heavy-duty fleet operators who are under pressure from the U.S. Postal Service to reduce emissions. USPS relies on these independent contractors to move mail over tens of thousands of routes in most every state across the country.
Propane autogas vehicles significantly cut NOx and greenhouse gas emissions compared with diesel and gasoline models. They also provide a lower carbon footprint in most U.S. states when compared to similar EVs charged from the electric grid.
The fact is, with the lowest total cost-of-ownership it’s the most cost-effective solution to reduce emissions – a win-win for fleets and the environment.
