This USB contains a variety of tools you can use to deliver propane emergency training.

Marketer Outreach Training Toolkit: The PE Marketer Training Kit is designed to provide propane marketing and distribution personnel with the tools to (1) conduct a two to three hour training session for local emergency response personnel at a propane terminal / facility, and (2) facilitate a working relationship between the propane industry and fire service at the local level.

Propane Emergencies Training Toolkit: Propane Emergencies is designed to help fire service and industry emergency responders to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and effectively manage a propane emergency in transportation or at fixed facilities. It is based upon nationally recognized engineering practices, recommended operating practices, and training programs. The Incident Management System and tactical guidelines used in this book are based upon the Eight Step Process©.

Propane Emergencies Scenario Library: These Propane Emergencies Scenarios can be viewed on your tablet, smartphone or computer. The HTML5 converted scenarios were originally created for the Propane Emergencies textbook to describe appropriate emergency response for 20 different potential propane emergencies ranging from residential propane leaks and fires to major transportation- and storage-related incidents. The scenarios all follow a similar format, beginning with a description of what happened, followed by a review of the relevant container design and construction features, a description of the responder’s tactical objectives, and a discussion of the general methods of leak control or fire extinguishing as well as any special considerations. The scenarios are not intended to establish Standard Operating Procedures for any individual emergency response organization. Each organization should develop its own SOPs based on local rules, regulations, policies, and available resources.
