A Win for Everyone

Adding propane performance to your homes is a significant competitive advantage, making it a win-win for you and your customers. And when you consider propane can earn you up to an additional $1,500 per home, it just makes sense to include it in your projects.

How To Get Started

If you’re not familiar with the Propane Construction Incentive Program, here’s how it works:

1. See if your project qualifies for the incentive by reading the details below.

2. Complete a home energy analysis from the Energy Planning Analysis Tool for each project >>> EPAT.

3. Submit your EPAT report and incentive application using the form below.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for the incentive, you must first meet the following criteria:

  • You are a U.S. builder or remodeler, and at least 18 years of age.
  • The homes for which you are applying were built or remodeled in December 2020, and/or January through December 2021.

Funding is limited; it’s important you complete your incentive application as soon as possible.

Which Homes Are Eligible?

To qualify for an incentive, a home must include at least one of the mandatory appliances listed on the chart below (for example, a propane tankless water heater). Then, any additional propane appliances will add to your base incentive, up to $1,000. To qualify for the $500 new construction regional bonus, you must install the propane appliance specified for your region or for remodeled homes. Any fuel switch (electricity or oil to propane) qualifies for a $500 bonus (see map below). Verification of installed appliances should be provided by a completed Gas Check or similar form, provided by a propane supplier. No paid receipts or invoices will be accepted (new this year).
