WASHINGTON (May 17, 2021) – The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) is hosting a new webinar as part of its “Propane Presents Technology Series” that will discuss Cavagna’s brand new, innovative Ultrasonic Gas Meter. The webinar will take place at 12 p.m. EST on Thursday, May 20.

Webinar attendees will hear about Cavagna’s new gas meter, which utilizes LoRaWAN technology. Randy Warner, product safety manager at Cavagna Group, will share how this new technology can improve operational efficiency and customer safety and satisfaction. From on-demand billing with a familiar customer interface, to advanced leak detection, to customer management and real-time flow analysis, this gas meter can be a game changer for propane companies.

“The propane industry is passionate about providing customers with the highest level of safety and user experience–and this new technology does just that,” said Bryan Cordill, director of residential and commercial business development at PERC. “Cavagna’s Ultrasonic Gas Meter can help propane companies find the perfect balance between reliability, efficiency, and safety.”

The Ultrasonic Gas Meter uses an innovative, high-performance ultrasonic sensor that guarantees more precise measurement over time and is designed and manufactured to measure the volume of propane, having a maximum allowable working pressure of 5psi (35 kPa) within a measurement range of 250 cubic ft. Additionally, the meter does not include any mechanical components that will wear over time, guaranteeing high levels of reliability and accuracy.

PERC’s “Propane Presents Technology Series” focuses on new and emerging propane technologies, education, and best practices to approach the ideal customer. Hosted and facilitated by PERC, in partnership with various OEMs, the series aims to showcase various propane products across multiple markets, answer questions directly from the industry and end users, and provide relevant resources and training information.
