Each year, more and more of us are heading outdoors. And it’s not necessarily to the local park or community green space, but our own backyards.
It’s because the outdoor living trend is spreading. According to a 2016 survey by the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association, 10 percent of grill owners have an outdoor kitchen with premium grills, furniture, lighting, and fireplaces, and by 2019, 35 percent of these owners planned to upgrade to kitchen accessories such as rotisseries and pizza ovens, televisions, and surround sound.
When we can take a lot of the features we love inside our homes — plus new ones — to the great outdoors, it’s no wonder this trend is growing in popularity.
If you’re thinking of creating your own backyard oasis, having a propane grill is a great place to start. Here’s our game plan for creating a great outdoor living space for family and friends:
Start with a propane grill: Propane grills heat up quickly, allowing you to spend less time preparing your food and more time enjoying it. From a propane grill, give yourself the upgrade of an entire outdoor kitchen. A full outdoor kitchen can provide the ultimate entertaining experience with outdoor rotisserie, cooktop, grill, and more, powered by your home’s main propane supply.
Set the mood: With instant on/off features, no firewood to store, and zero clean up, propane fireplaces and fire pits are a valuable addition to any outdoor space.
Bring the heat: Patio heaters can raise the outdoor temperature by up to 30 degrees Fahrenheit, heating large areas quickly and helping make your backyard a year-round destination.
Or, comfortably cool off: Pool and spa heaters — even on a chilly night — keep water at the desired temperature more efficiently and effectively compared with electric heaters
Finish by lighting the way: Flame lighting adds warmth and charm to entries, patios, walkways, and other areas where guests may gather on your property.
