Each year at the GIE+EXPO, we choose a booth theme to make propane-powered mowers stand out at the trade show. This year, we are highlighting propane as the all-American fuel with the theme, “United We Fuel,” and how landscape contractors who use propane are supporting American jobs and businesses.
For example, contractors may be surprised to learn more than 90 percent of U.S. propane supplies are produced in the U.S. The propane industry supports jobs across the country through the creation and transport of the fuel, right to your own backyard with local, independently-owned propane suppliers. These suppliers are often small businesses dedicated to hiring locally and improving their community.
Propane also helps landscape contractors improve their own communities by reducing emissions and helping to improve local environments by eliminating harmful gasoline and diesel fuel spills. Additionally, by using a clean fuel that’s better to work with, contractors can offer jobs their employees can be proud of.
As part of “United We Fuel,” we will present a donation at the trade show to Project Evergreen’s GreenCare for Troops, which connects active-duty, deployed service members with professional lawn, landscape, and snow removal volunteers in all 50 states throughout the length of a deployment. Contractors can grow that donation by entering to win an equipment trailer loaded with a propane mower and other tools in the PERC booth, 7094. For each entry, we will add $5 to the donation.
Contractors can enter by visiting PERC’s booth, 7094, or can enter online in advance. In order to win, contractors must be present in the booth at 4:00 p.m. on Oct. 17 when the drawing takes place.
Project Evergreen also accepts donations to its programs online.
