Training

When Lenoir Community College instructor Ted Byrd attended the Plumber HVAC Train the Trainer event from the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC), he found that the program’s overview of the fundamentals of propane systems was an excellent fit to intertwine with his existing curriculum. “I think it’s going to be very important that the student does get a background in dealing with the propane as well as the electric side of it,” Byrd says. “This curriculum does give me a lot more to work with. It’s going to give me a lot more material to put in front of the students.”

This year, PERC is offering a new opportunity for 20 plumbing and HVAC instructors to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Austin to learn to teach the course, “Overview of Propane Distribution Systems for Plumbing and HVAC Professionals.” Are you an instructor looking to add to your course materials, or do you know a training professional who should attend this special event? Just tell us why you want to attend the training for a chance to win.
