EcoBuilding Pulse charts a few of the results from the National Association of Realtors’ 2014 Home Buyer and Seller Generational Trends Report, including the sustainable features that buyers find “very important” in a new home. At 36 percent, heating and cooling costs was the most-selected option. While every generation saw these costs as important in their decision, young boomers chose the option at the highest rate. The results are stark evidence that it’s important to consider ways you can reduce heating costs in your new homes.
