Some homeowners are willing to go to great lengths to save energy, if a new survey from HVAC manufacturer Lennox is any indication. “The Lennox Home Energy Report Card Survey, commissioned by Lennox Intl. Inc. and conducted by GfK Roper, found that saving money is a top incentive to conserving energy,” reports ACHR News. “In fact, 29 percent of homeowners would rather walk around in their underclothing than spend money to cool down their home during the summer months.” If your customers are baring it all in the summer or throwing on layers in the winter, there may be a business opportunity, the survey found. If money were no object, some homeowners would be willing to invest in energy-saving systems including solar panels, high-efficiency air conditioners and furnaces, and high-efficiency water heaters.
